Guildie introductions

I'm rly curious to know something about the people behind the characters. I'll go first. x3

Real name: Marjo

Occupation: Graphic designer (also known as pixel-roller around here) and illustrator.

Musical taste: I can listen pretty much everything, except gospel and most of rap. My favourites are melodic metal, industrial, trance and game etc. soundtracks.

Hobbies: I've been pretty much of a gamer geek for my whole life. My first game was probably Super Mario Bros, and after that became Playstation, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Croc, Oddworld-series etc. Mostly platformers. Some years later I became interested in RPG:s and was playing Final Fantasies like crazy. Again some years later I was introduced to WoW and I've been playing it now about 5 years. During the past two years I've found a new love from survival horror games. My favs so far are Penumbra: Overture & Black Plague, Amnesia: The Dark Descent and L4D2.

I love canines very much and I've had one or more dogs since I was twelwe. Nowadays I only have one left. I'll get another one as soon as my situation allows it. Here's some smart faces of my current dog and also the male of my life, a crossbred german shepherd dog (lol) named Miska: CLICKY! My another doggy related hobby is collecting all sorts of wolf stuff. I've got lots of wolf plushies and posters. :'D

I'm also a wannabe green thumb and somewhat addicted to houseplants, though I've managed to kill most of them by taking too much care of them. I've noticed the ones I get along with best are plants which won't die neither if you forget to water them nor if you happen to water them too often.

My first touch with RP was a few years ago while my friends back then were playing some sort of vampire game. I'm not that much into vampires so it wasn't so interesting. Some of the people I know also play a lot of canine related RP:s but for some reason I wasn't so much into them either. Maybe because they had Ginga stuff all over. Luvain actually got me truly interested when she lead a WoW related RP for me, Silivren and some other people at RopeCon last year. I was playing an RPing undead warlock who was ninjapulling everything. xD

However, back then I was still so hooked to raiding so I didn't play on Moonglade much. Later I got really tired of that hardcore stuff, me being pretty casual I no longer felt like fitting in and I was considering quitting. Silivren told me her friends were about to found a small guild on Moonglade and asked me to come along. I thought that oh well, let's try it. ...and the rest is history.

Real name: Viv

Occupation: Also a student, just finished my second year of my degree in Mental and Physical Health related Psychology. It's more like hard work than it might sound. I'm aiming to do a Masters in Forensic Psychology after this, and eventually end up counselling in prisons.

Hobbies: Well obviously I'm a gamer geek. Put me in front of anything Dragon Age or Elder Scrolls and I'm happy for months on end. How did I get into RP? I actually can't remember, I've been doing it for ages. I ended up in Farway because I met Aki in Legion of the Sun and it turned out we liked whinging about the same kind of RPers, so we got on.

Outside of WoW my main hobby is probably my writing. The fantasy world I set my work in is where most of my characters come from. Luce is the god of death and yes, he's just as fabulous there as he is in WoW. I don't tend to post my writing though because I am a complete perfectionist, redraft everything I write five times and then still decide it's not good enough. To give you some idea, I finished the first draft of my first story when I was eleven - I'm now twenty and I'm still redrafting it! Although this is mainly because I was eleven when I wrote it and eleven year old authors don't make for great works of fiction.

I also write Gothic horror, mostly short stories rather than novel length ones. Gothic horror is my favourite genre to read; Edgar Allen Poe is, in my opinion, the best author that ever lived. Angela Carter and Christopher Marlowe are up there amongst the favourites too. Also a massive fan of Bram Stoker's Dracula and all of the other proper vampire stories - which is why I refuse to call Edward Cullen and the other sparkly ones vampires.

They're Meyerpires, and they suck.

I would post some of the Gothic stuff I write but it tends to be kind of gnarly and have sex scenes flying left right and centre (blame Angela Carter) and Luvain said no porn. Or it might have been Aki. One of the boss-people. Soooo moving swiftly on.

My other hobby is drawing, which I'm not amazing at but I enjoy it. Unlike my writing I'm not even slightly perfectionist with this and quite frequently leave bits in that I know I should erase and redo. I also don't use colour because I'm appallingly bad at colour, and actually I prefer greyscale pencil stuff anyway. Only exception is stuff like the red pic of Vael posted in the art forum, which was coloured digitally. Very quickly and lazily.

Last of the creative hobbies, I play the bass! Sorta. I'm learning to play the bass but I'd say I'm a far better singer than I ever will be bassist.

Also I collect model dragons. I love dragons, wish they were real and wish I had a pet one I could keep in my garden so I could love it, hug it and set fire to people I don't like with it.

Oh and this is me and Adam, my other half. He's Ifeldor in game for those what don't know. I know Adam looks a bit like a girl so to clear up any confusion, I'm the one with glasses XD

Occupation: Got out of high school, didn't feel like studying more right away, so I did a little this and a little that for like, three years, and now I'm working at Gamestop since a little over a year. No idea where I'm going though, so I guess time will tell.

Musical taste:
Passive listening: anything.
Active listening: soundtracks, melodic metal, some electro, game music etc.

Hobbies: Well, aside from the obvious gaming stuffs (rpg's mostly, and some rts at times), I' a huge classic nerd as well, with Magic: The Gathering, Warhammer (mainly 40 k), pen and paper RP and so on.

When not doing any of the above I'm usually found at the gym (trying my best to be healthy), out and about, doing nothing, probably, or with the friends watching a movie or whatnot. Writing is also something I like, since it goes well with my DM:ing and my absurd amount of imagination, though that's nothing serious, and rarely sees completion.

Had my first run-in with proper RP about, what, 9-10 years ago with the Lord of the Rings RPG, was pretty good, but didn't hook me right away. A while later I played the emminent game Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines (play it if you haven't!) and that introduced me to World of Darkness (WoD). Around that time a friend told me about some guys who did Live Action Role Playing in the WoD-setting. After some mild persuasion I joined up, and here I am, 6 years later, still in it. Nowdays I'm mostly DM:ing though.

As for WoW, I started playing for the RP (thanking Vaniel and her ex for that) and stayed for the RP. I do raiding, and pride myself on being a fast learner, but what makes me come back every time is still the RP, no matter what.
