Personality:
Rhigen is kind and friendly, sprinkled with a more or less unhealthy amount of paranoia, especially when faced with magic. He is old enough to have found his place in the world and experienced enough to accept it, even if it is not what he would have wanted most for himself.
He has always been keen at flirting at anything with two legs and a pulse and he is as shy as a street-walker, but the flirting very rarely turns into anything serious. For he is a gentleman right up until the point something has to die.
Background:
Rhigen is the child of a noble mother and a rogue father. They met when Rhigen's father, Durso, was climbing in a window to assassinate a prominant noble and major land owner. His plans failed, however, as the daughter in the house was up reading and dropped a flowerpot on the silent assassin until he had to run away.
He promptly fell in love.
Many flowerpots, vases and a great deal of verbal abuse later, he succeeded in wooing the girl and together they ran away from contracts and an arranged engagement to make their own fortune.
Four years later, Rhigen was born, and his mother died in the process.
Rhigen grew up with his father in Eversong, and learned the only craft his father knew. Assassination and brewing poisons. As a teenager he ran away, wanting nothing to do with his father who seemed a very cruel man to him compared to what he had observed in the villages in Eversong. He apprenticed with blacksmith for one year before unfortunate circumstances involving the granddaughter of said blacksmith caused him to have to kill the elf in self defence and leave the village life behind forever.
Reunited with his father, they spent the next years taking on more and more elaborate long term contracts. While getting involved in the great political schemes and finding ways to taking out the enemies of their contractors in one way or the other, they made good profit and lived well for many years.
The change came when Rhigen failed to fully go through with a job, which exposed both of them to the double-scheme they were running at the time. The following man-hunt ended in Rhigen barely surviving and his father's death.
With the last of his valuables, he managed to buy passage to Stranglethorn Vale and the trading port Booty Bay where he remained as an invalid potion-seller and eventually tattoo-artist for many years, staying on the other end of the continent in fear of his own kin.
Many years later, after meeting a healer who fixed him up enough to be able to travel again, he returned to Silvermoon and Eversong when the war reached his old homelands. Ever determined to be a one man army and weapon for hire, he finally learned the art of making friends instead of enemies and gave up his old trade to join organized military forces.
Nowadays Rhigen lives travelling Azeroth and working as a scout for the Farway Expedition, while still occationally joining various fronts of various wars, making good use of his skills at stealth and silent killing.
