    The Farway Expediton
    Who and what we are?


    When the Farway Expedition was started, it was founded on beliefs and wishes of Luvain, Aki and Elervina. Together we planned a guild in wich we believed we could all enjoy ourselves and where no-one would be left behind. It is on that road where we continue still, after few weeks of sharing the guildname. It is time to put words in to actions, and build together a guild wich can bring joy and feel of community to all of us.

    The Farway expedition, is a roleplaying guild. A casual roleplaying guild. I use the word casual, because of pve/pvp enviroment gives many of our players alot of inspiration, and we enjoy doing heroics, old raids, pvp, helping eachother in older instances, all that and much more. While roleplaying is important and everyone in the guild will be recruited incharacter, and will be expected to be a roleplayer, we dont think that roleplaying is the only thing we can do together. Sometimes just doing an instance with guildies, can be the bright of the day. If we do it together, it is having fun with the guild, isnt it?

    Two words, activity and freedom, are important to us and in a way, walk hand to hand together. While freedom has always been important to us, it brings the other word, activity important alongside itself aswell. With a lot of freedom to decide does one wish to entangle with guildrp or dungeon runs or not, comes ones own activity in other things more important. Being active in the guild means taking part of things on the way one sees best for himself.
    Some like doing pve, and ask people to join that, while still taking part in bigger guild events. Some dont like pve, can get people to join in some guildrelated exploring roleplay, wich will have several adventure options on mission diary (forums). Both is being active, in their own way.
    It is our wish that everyone would find their own way of contributing to the guild and making it even better place for all of us to stay. We wish the balancing of activity and freedom to be easy for everyone, by letting them choose the options and how to do it, themselves.



    Uncle Akis tips on Guild experience

    - Instance runs (You need 3 guild members to gain guild reputation and experience.)

    - PVP battlegrounds (You gain very small experience from battleground runs when you kill a player, you can do this alone or with others it doesn’t matter.)

    - Arena (Winning gives a lot of experience but winning is quite a challenge so don’t worry yourself!)

    - Old raids / Raids today (You need a number of 8 people max for a guild run, we aren’t very heavy on the raiding front but if we do decide to do this in the future we’ll inform you.)

    - Dailies/Quests (Yes you can gain experience from dailies and also gold!)


    You don’t need to do all of this it’s just a helpful tip guide showing you ways you can help towards the guild and for yourself in the future. As we know mists is around the corner we’ll be expected to see a lot of new guild perks.

    The Farway Expedition is important to us, and for those who joined in with us when we created it, it is close to heart aswell. We wish to work for the guild and make it feel like a home for those aswell who have joined in later. This will require some teamwork of us all spending some time together, but if everyone are enthusiastic about it, we will get there eventually, if we havent already. If the people in the guild really like it and are ready for work for it, it gives a good athmosphere where everyone can feel relaxed, knowing they are here with friends. We never aim to be a big guild, and we will watch closely who we recruit in the future aswell.

    With the creation of the Mission journal, we hope to make it easyer to find ways to interract with other guildies, specially if not having many ideas on rp oneself. On Misson journal we give the guildmembers ideas on possible rp, we dont underline it, it is very free to make your own rp from the lines we give you. It is ment to give guildrelated roleplaying for us all, and I hope people will give it a go and say how they feel about it, then we can see how to build it even more tempting for us all to participate. As the Farway expedition is an explorers guild, our themes will be around exploring the areas, finding treasures, making teamwork with our friends. Mission journal entry will be made when ever we travel into a new area, and will be filled with some info of the area, tips about it and rp options, aswell as one incharacter instance people can participate in. We aim to travel in to a new area every two week, but this might change depending on the guild and how much we get done, aswell of the leaders irl life.
    Im exited to see how this will work, see you all in future adventures!
